And that's a wrap..........on stage 1 at least

The weekend was mixed; sunshine with some clouds on both Friday and Sunday, but miserably grey with rain on the Saturday. Still, that didn't deter, and the cast n crew set about the task of delivering great performances and brilliant levels of production. Such was the energy we even managed to draw the attention of over a dozen residents from the village of Braughing - where we staged our robbery. I've included a few photos they sent me, below. Long days, plenty of hours with the camera rolling, and the heat of both sunshine and the stress of Stage 1 completion basically wore everybody out. The schedule, despite only a 24 page script, was brutal. Mentally and physically. An action-driven filmic beast is one that always had the potential to get away from us. And at one point we were woefully losing touch with our objectives such was the intensity of the slate needs. But we held on tight and rode it to the finale. A fantastic team effort by everyone involved - in the prep, and the on-set production. It made me proud to know so many dedicated and capable professionals - some with decades of experience; others with but a handful of productions under their belts. Next, a couple of additional 'pick up' days - in the West Midlands, and on the South coast. But that is for another day.........and another blog entry.
