Preparation for the Big Push

So finally we're into the prep period for A Mother's Son. Lots to do including ensuring we are as period critical as we can be given the small amount of money available to realise this. That said, it's a real heartstring puller of a story and done right will make the sort of impact I originally envisioned for this eulogy to a lost generation. The reasons for wanting to do this, and do it right, are numerous, but none more important than to memorialise my grandfather who served and survived three of the bloodiest campaigns of the war, but also to remember my two great uncles who perished in Flanders Fields in 1915 and in 1916 respectively. To honour them, and all those relatives of our generation who fell, it was important to wait for the right time to attempt this. As the 'Lookbook' illustrates there is a huge amount of visual enhancement we are going to have to employ on the battlefield given we dont have the resources for large scale mortars, explosions, and extras to fill out the scenes. All of that is going to be done by me and my team of VFX wizards at OSFVFX. We are aiming high and believe we can achieve both our creative and our memorial goals. Thanks for being here on this journey.
